(More customer reviews)I've had a Black & Decker "versapak" cordless blender for years. Didn't use it often, but when camping, it was nice (just ran out quick). 2 months ago, the motor died.
I looked for a new blender for camping without electricty. Rather than buying the REI "hand-crank" one, I bought the Roadpro "12-volt" cordless one for the same price. I paid for 2-day air ship to get it by our camping trip.
We charged it overnight. Got to the campground, plugged in the battery, almost-nothing. Even with just water IT BARELY MOVED. Recharged it overnight, ensuring the charger light was on. Next day, it could not even slice strawberries (NOT frozen) in water. Upon inspection, it is a pathetic 6-volt battery (only 4Ah!) that uses a "12-volt" charger. Not a 12-volt blender!!! Maybe it could do "10,000 RPM" with no blender jar attached, but even just plain water was maybe 300 RPM. Pathetic.
Save your money - it is worthless. I've lost $30 in 2-day air shipping to deliver this $50 junk to me. The vendor will refund my "purchase" price, but not shipping despite the false claims of the sales pages.
